Travel insurance for peace of mind

Travel insurance for peace of mind

We have made many trips within Australia and you dont realize how lucky we are to have many forms of backup and support, should things go wrong. When you are in Australia you have access to medical insurance at all times and this is very reassuring. Unfortunately, when you travel overseas your Australian medical insurance no longer provides cover. To ensure you are covered for unforeseen events you need to purchase travel insurance before you leave home from an Australian insurer, such as MyCover Travel Insurance Australia. Allianz, one of the worlds largest insurers, underwrites their policies.
We have always done this and just for peace of mind we take out a policy as soon as we have made our bookings, as you never know what may happen even before you travel and whether some illness may prevent you from making the planned trip. We usually book our trips up to six months ahead, so cancellation cover is important to us and we make sure that we dont suffer a loss before we have even left home. We have been able to make a lot of savings with our travel bookings by using online websites and use the money we save towards our spending while away. We look for value with whatever we purchase and this includes our travel insurance.
For recent trips we have been buying travel insurance from the MyCover travel insurance Australia website and this has worked out well for us. It is a lower cost than we have paid previously, when we have bought travel insurance bundled with our tickets from the travel agent and generally helps us to keep the costs for our holidays to within our limited budget. The cover is good and provides what we require for the cover our family requires when traveling within Australian and overseas. MyCover has worldwide emergency medical assistance, which we rely on when traveling. You never know when you will need this and where you will be should a medical emergency arise.
